- Do I need an account to shorten a URL?
- No. You can shorten links immediately without creating an account. Sign up free to save your link history, access analytics, create custom aliases, and use the API.
- Can I create a link-in-bio profile page?
- Yes. Every Shortfy account includes a free link page at shortfy.co/p/yourname. Add your photo, bio, and as many links as you like — portfolio, social accounts, booking page, store, and more. Publish it when you're ready and track how many people visit and what they click.
- What are custom aliases?
- Custom aliases let you choose the slug that appears after the domain — for example shortfy.co/launch instead of shortfy.co/xK9z2B. Available on Pro and Business plans.
- Does Shortfy generate QR codes?
- Yes. Every shortened link has a QR code you can generate and download instantly from the result card or your link dashboard.
- Can I set an expiry date on a link?
- Yes. Pro and Business users can set an expiration date on any link. After the date passes the link stops redirecting and visitors see an expiry notice.
- What analytics data does Shortfy track?
- Shortfy tracks total clicks, clicks over time (30-day chart), top referrers, and — on Pro/Business plans — geographic breakdowns by country, device type, operating system, and browser.
- Is there a REST API?
- Yes. Shortfy provides a full REST API to shorten URLs, list and manage links, retrieve analytics, and manage API keys. Authenticate with a Bearer token. See the API docs for details.
